Whoops! I meant within the context of an equation. Does the text
style dialog still work with an equation?

I realize this is a crapshoot, but I've been searching the net most of
the morning to no avail so far. Does anyone know how to make a script
(or cursive) LOWERCASE r in LyX? I'm assuming there is some ERT I
need to properly format, but so far I get nothing like what I want.
Thank

when I use my bib file the "Content" box is grayed out and will not
let me select "all citations" from the bib file.
Any suggestions?

Recently, I switched from using gv and xpdf to read my pdf files produced in
lyx. As I was proofing my thesis, I reached a page where the graphics and
text would not display in Acrobat Reader (version 7 for linux) but would
still display in xpdf. In Acrobat, a window pops up that says "a drawing
and figures.

get 27 errors when I try to view the PDF.

e you get the hang of it, inserting
floats and graphics becomes pretty easy.
The tutorial does not cover inserting graphics, but the user guide does
in section 4.3.
Luck!

Hi Alan,
I don't know what the error means exactly, but have you tried adding a
figure float and putting the graphic inside the float? I believe that
to be the "standard" way that lyx handles graphics, so you might tr

This is very frustrating. Can anyone suggest a place to start looking?
Thanks!

Somehow, one of my display equations was created as (or morphed into) a
multiline equation, even though it is one single equation. I tried
deleting a re-entering it, but the multiline designation stuck. I tried

I have three files that I'd like to concatenate within lyx. Two of the
files were originally tex files and the third is a file written entirely
in lyx.
Somehow I was able to import and convert the tex files to lyx files.
They are named front.lyx and thanks.lyx. The third file is called
body.lyx
