Natbib options in Lyx with embedded bibliography

When I embed a bibliography in the Lyx file itself (using the .AUX or .bbl file), and then click on a citation reference in the Lyx file, I do not get the option to choose a citation style, as I do when I call the citation from a bibtex database. I am using natbib (author-year), and indicated

Can anyone tell me what is the latest Lyx version that is available for Kubuntu 64 bits? It seems that the repositories only have 1.6.2, and the only 1.6.3 version I found was meant for Karmic (9.10) which is not out yet. Thanks, EK

Sorry, Jurgen, it did not help.Perhaps I did not understand what you meant by: 7. Somewhere in the document, put a bibtex bibliography inside a comment or note. I think I have followed your suggestion exactly, but I am getting undefined control sequence error for each of the \putbib
