Translating the AMS environment labels (theorem, proof, etc) is now
(from LyX 2.0) automagically made in modules. (thanks to Richard H.:)
Unfortunately, using these modules it's no possible in beamer.
Therefore, translating the theorem labels can be achieved through
two ways ( http://wiki.lyx.org
Here testing lyx-2.0.0svn. It comes splendid!
In the Preferences dialog the Default Language item is missing.
Opening new documents are English by default.
How is the default language set for new documents?

The new feature Modules includes a module to hang paragrahs.
Applying the style 'hanging' to the second paragraph of an article,
the output doesn't show this second paragraph starting a new one,

Yes, you can create a math.bind file in your personal directory,

same file
- the problem is present too changing the language file in English,
- the problem continues opening the Spanish file in LyX with LANG=en,
- the problem disappear opening the English file in LyX with LANG=en)
(lyx-1.5-3 on Ubuntu GNU/Linux )
