I don't have any solution to your specific problem. All I can say is that I had a similar problem with klipper on a RH7.3 system distribution and with lyx1.3.1 running under KDE. After selecting text in lyx and clicking on the klipper icon in the taskbar, it took a while for klipper to pop-up the

Actually no, I am using pictex. I produced a pictex file using xfig and wanted to call it (\input) from lyx. It works well in a simple document i.e. it works when only a few \usepackage commands are present in the lyx file. When I \input the pictex file from my real life lyx file, it produces

Hi It works for me. However I had problems using gerplain as a biography style. Using plain, it works well from within LyX. I ought to check this further. I am including a copy of the test file. Try it out and report if you have some problems otherwise reproduce these steps to insert a bibfile:

your're right. Theres's probably a problem with the biography style as I pointed out with gerplain. Alternatively I exported the lyx file (using bibliography style gerplain) to tex. run latex once run bibtex run latex twice (error messages, forget it) I got a dvi file out of that. So it's
