Hi everyone,
I'm a long-time user of Lyx. It is a great piece of software. Many
thanks to the developers.
I just installed Lyx 2.2.2 and an error message is popping up: "Error
reading module basic"
I find this file on my harddrive: /usr/share/lyx/layouts/basic.module
So, I did:
sudo cp /usr/sh

Hi lyxers,
I'm having a perplexing problem. I'm using the Cardo font, which enables
the use of English, Hebrew, and Greek on the same page easily. But I
can't get curl quotes to work. They work with this font in Open Office.
So why not in Lyx?

Hi Lyx users,
Using the Memoir class with a two-column document, and inserting a box
(simple frame, page breaks), how can the background of the box be made
shaded?

If in the preamble I use

Many thanks for helping me with this. I've been trying to get this to
work for a long time.

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to use biblatex-chicago with Lyx 2.0 and biblatex-biber
for some time without success. I've read many documents on-line but
still no success. I want to use the footnotes style citations. Lyx finds
the .bib database and I can enter a citation, but in author-date style,

Adding
,hyphens
to documentclass options solved the problem.
Hi everyone,
How can a URL be made to linebreak on a hyphen, without breaking
hyperref support?
I tried using the breakurl package, but couldn't get it to work.

Hi fellow Lyxers,
We are using Lyx 2.0, the book (Memoir) document class, and the
bianchi chapter style. All was well until we finished the body of the
book, and inserted the frontmatter. Now in the PDF the chapter numbers
do not show above the chapter names or in the TOC (they still show in

Hi fellow Lyxers,
Am I correct in thinking that JabRef does not support biblatex?
The only program I've found that supports entering biblatex citations
into .bib files is Synaptic. Are there others?
Is there an emacs mode for doing this?

Hi everyone,
I'm using Lyx 2.0. I have an English book which uses a few Hebrew and
Greek words. I need to use biblatex-chicago footnote citations with this
book.
I've installed:

Modules: Biblatex-citation-styles
