Any program should be able to pipe info into the kdeprinter. I don't know
anything more specific because if have not messed with Lyx on linux

substitute for xdvI?

between LyX and your printer via CUPS. In my naivety it looks like the
printer in not properly specified in LyX.

(e.g. dvips). Perhaps they have to be installed separately? I searched the
Debian packages and could not find xdvi or dvips.

No, I don't have xpp. I'll install it and see if it fixes the problem...

full name (adding /home/peter) it prints OK. If I leave it as it is I get
the following message: Unable to print file 'test.ps' -
client-error-not-found
It sounds like I need to set an option somewhere to pass the full file name.
But I can't find where to set this option.

I'm still trying to get this to work. I needed some mailing labels for
Christmas, so I resorted to plugging in an old hard drive that has Windows 95
and Wordperfect. (By the way, is it possible to print address labels with
Lyx?)
