Feature request: named clipboards, abbrevs.

Hi! I'd love to see the following enhancement to LyX. While writing a big article, one has to do a lot of juggling with formulae and pieces of text and one clipboard is not enough for that. Is it possible to add named clipboards (a.k.a 'registers' in Emacs jargon)? The other thing that would
