I'm a new Lyx user ( version 1.1.6 from Mandrake 8.0 )and when I use
the article layout, I seem to get the margins to act correctly.
The article layout has 1.5" left and right margins when I would really
like only 1" margins.
In the User Guide, I found:
setlength{hoffset}{-0.5 in}
setlength{v
The easiest way to set margins is in Layout->Document->Paper. If you need to
use the commands, then here are some stabs:

Did you type setlength... or \setlength? Did you type voffset or did you type
