document generated by lyx. message appears No information for viewing

I'm using LyX 1.2.4 now. In older versions there was always a menu entry (and
shortcut) to View (Update) PostScript. Where has this functionality gone?
When working with PSTricks you need to view the PostScript.

You have to install first Ghostscript and then install Gsview (the PS
viewer itself).

blank page is added at the front and the last page or so is cut off. Export
as txt or html seems to work fine.
