I think you are confusing REX with QUAD. REX does not replace the RAM, but
QUAD does.

But it also has a "repaired" sticker on the back. I don't know what the repair

I think you should get one or the other, not both. AFAIK, once active, the REX
replaces the active memory and the 8, 24 or 32 K of the machine itself isn't
used any more. So getting an 8K + REX isn't worth it, I think.
That is, if I understood the workings of the REX correctly... :-/
