Most of you know, not the whole world types QWERTY. Belgium and France each have their variation of the AZERTY layout, and Germany has QWERZU. Tandy also catered for these regional layouts, and I recently got several Azerty keyboard equipped Model 102's. Now, contrary to the Olivetti M-10, where

I *believe*, the M100 will charge the NiCad battery from the AAs even when off. Due to that mechanism, the RAM will be preserved until the AA and NiCad are both dead. Please correct me if I am wrong. On Wed, Jan 2, 2019 at 3:26 AM Eric LK wrote: > Hi, > > I got a 24KB Model 100 about one year a

I’m not a big fan of just replacing all electrolytic caps as a matter of course. It is always possible to damage traces and things doing unneeded work. On some equipment experience has shown that some caps (or all) are problematic though. On the M100 the little black (don’t remember value) ca

Jeff, In your experience, did you find that the capacitor replacement was necessary, or was it done as a preventative measure? I have a M200 that I'm working on that appears to need capacitor replaced, although not leaving the tell-tale leakage signs. On Wed, Jan 2, 2019 at 1:16 PM Jeffrey Birt

Your machine may not have been messed with prior, all my electrolytics were dotted from the factory. Also, as far as the donuts go, there should be only 5. They don't go on all the posts. You can see which ones they go on in the exploded view of the technical reference manual for the 100 pg 58.

Charles, the springs are seated in plastic holders that are part of the bottom case. I use a pair of tweezers to tug the springs vertically, and eventually they become freed from the bottom case. ..Steve On Wed, Jan 2, 2019 at 8:07 AM Charles Hudson wrote: > In preparation for repair of my M100
