While looking for other possible uses for the 3d-printed modified molex carrier and matching pcb, I discovered the Epson PX-8, which has a z80 and runs cp/m, so, I would guess that means there is even already at least some sort of body of code to use cp/m on a device like this. I guess that doe

much of this can be addressed with a rom patch ,I believe. On Thu, Jul 11, 2019 at 1:30 PM John R. Hogerhuis wrote: > Ah I missed the obvious things. I was thinking that the time and baud rate > were based on hardware not software timing. But I guess they all would be > changed by the higher cl

Ah I missed the obvious things. I was thinking that the time and baud rate were based on hardware not software timing. But I guess they all would be changed by the higher clock. -- John.

Very cool Steve. I'm interested but I don't know if I can manage the install. I'd think the software timing things that will break in the ROM would be cassette I/O, key repeat, sound, I guess. Is the BCR bit sampled? -- John.

Josh, I'll know soon enough about height clearances. Will take lots of pictures. I think there is room however in the M100. A socket on the M100 board is a mandatory so you can revert to normal operation. So, worst case is that the card itself has no sockets, but has the 2 CPUs soldered in place.

yah good point. not really sure about all the impacts of 5MHz. I'm guessing it will need some patches in certain things. The capability is a soft switch meaning you can just type a simple OUT command and switch on the fly to fast mode. So, perhaps that's the work around. Might really mess up sys

Steve, Not owning a 100 I can't dive into this but I am definitely watching to see what you come up with. The 5mhz upgrade is really interesting. I do wonder what that will do to all the apps that have specific timing (ie: TS-DOS delay). Will the clock get messed up? But if this leads to CP/M
