I was perusing an old book (TRS-80 Model 100 A Users Guide) and it mentions
Chip, a business guy who uses his Model 100 for darned near everything. One
thing he used it for was to relax by playing a game of Backgammon against his
Model 100.
Does this program exist or is it pure fiction? If it
During Covid shutdown, I started writing a Yahtzee game for our Model 100. I
got it pretty close to being done, but stalled out, and then got back to work,
and forgot about it.
A while later I found a listing for the long gone 8n1 bbs, and one of the
programs they had for the Model 100 was
I was guessing some niceties had to be chopped to make it fit into the 10
lines. I’ll be sure to post whatever changes I come up with. I’m not much of a
programmer, so it’ll likely be pretty ugly and might not even work :D

I have just loaded and tried out Bounce. I love it! I think I am going to add a
few lines though to add a play again option, and probably a sound after each
miss.
There are a few other breakout type fames for the 100, but this one is the best
I’ve tried!
Thanks for making and sharing it!

By any chance does anyone here have the manual for Custom Software’s
Men-u-tility? I read the article on it in Portable 100, but wanted to see if
there was more info in the manual.
Thanks, and have a great weekend!

I just bought a few tapes on eBay, gambling that they may have some obscure
software on them. One of the tapes had a label with a filename that ended in
.DO, so it was an educated guess.
Two of the three tapes have files that my Model 100 can "see", but none of the
files load, with the

Is there a way to create an account on Club100 anymore? I've tried and it looks
like I've created an account, but when I try to log in, it wont let me. I would
like to create a library there and upload some of my programs that don't seem
to be anywhere.
Thanks,

Will the m100 work with pretty much any parallel port printer or does it
have to have a specific driver? What kinds or printers work with the
m100 these days?
I am using a Tandy DMP 130 with my CoCo and mt 100. I chose this one because it
So I’ve been looking through a lot of the Portable 100 issues that are archived
at Club100. It looks like they’ve made a lot of software back then that is
nowhere to be found. I’ve accumulated quite a few of the Radio Shack titles,
but not much else. Anyone know of any other sites where I may
That’s a great idea! Are the pegs tapered or slightly out of round to hold them
in place? Gluing them wouldn’t work, as the machine will need repair about 14
seconds after the glue sets up.

So I downloaded this game from Github a few days ago and played it for a bit
last night. It’s a pretty enjoyable game, one of the better ones I’ve played on
my 100.
I just wanted to thank the author for the good work

My Model 100 keeps giving me fits. The latest issue is that after a few minutes
the screen will start getting darker and darker until it is completely black.
It will flicker to the correct brightness if you wiggle the knob a bit, but it
doesn’t stay, which I am guessing means it’s either dirty
I bought my M100 a few months ago for $80 shipped. Went through a Facebook
retro computer swap group instead of ebay.
Someone was nice enough to remove the nicad battery before it leaked all over
too.

This USB power supply is pretty intriguing to me. With a cable like that, you
can use one of those rechargeable power banks I would think. I might have to
look into this. Also, I was looking at an RS-232 wifi modem that uses USB
power, so using a power supply to feed both would be beneficial.
