Hi Alex, I was able to get all of the "standard" keys working by opening them up, giving the contacts a light cleaning, and rotating the carbon pad 90 degrees. The num lock, even after disassembly and some work on surface rust, is still not toggling smoothly. The tactile switches (the arrow and

Hey Matt, I've done a lot of synthesizer repairs of similar vintage (and sometimes similar architecture!) and I'd recommend not replacing any caps unless you've done diagnostics to determine that they're the cause of a specific problem. There's no hard-working filter caps in this machine like

Thanks Wayne. Yes, I already clipped the varta out (it had started to go, but hadn't hit the board yet). Caps will be next - also something I need to do on the M102. Matt On Tue, Aug 4, 2020 at 12:08 PM Wayne Talbot wrote: > > Change the internal battery; if it is not bad now, it will likely

Hi all, I recently picked up a "for parts, not working" M100 on Ebay. After a quick inspection where I didn't see any obvious damage, I tried powering it up with a wall wart. Much to my surprise, it came up immediately and seems to work just fine (keyboard, display, etc). My guess is that the
