I don't recall that problem. But it has been long enough that I may have
encountered but I just don't remember.

I got my "Hello World" wp2 program assembled, transfered, and run!
For some strange reason my program will only run from main memory. Comments in
the old CIS file archive indicate this is a thing that happens. I also
experienced this when trying to run Klar's programs... I had to load them from

So, I definitely have a early-model WP-2 (26-3930) that has all the serial
communication problems (3930A supposedly fixed at least some of those issues)
and an early ROM that makes CamelFORTH crash.
OTOH it seems to speak PDD protocol without any issues so I don't really care
how good or bad it

Heh, yes I've got your CamelFORTH but FORTH is just one language I've never
been able to get into. I can do 1 1 +. But after that? Pfft! Actually my last
attempt to learn it was with model 100 MFORTH...

Well I did a bad port of camelforth to it. Needs a lot of work. But that
could be a dev environment if work was put into it.
Or there are probably some other forths.

Where can I get a copy of those?
I have also seen the memory cards show up on ebay, rarely and for
astounding prices. Very rare apparently. I have no idea if they can
actually hold information if you remove them.

Yes! There must be a 32K chip in there. Even copied files to it!

Works fine! Even (finally) figured out how to run .CO file straight from the
disk! I didn't think about just copying over some random m100 t
So you were able to format he RAM disk?
Have you tried with laddiealpha? Should work.
You need to provide parameter so it knows to use 8.2 character files names
instead of 6.2 like model 100.
Maybe you can port Rogue to it. :-)

I'm really happy with this thing. I don't know how much I'm going to actually
use it? I don't do a lot of "word processing " any more, but I like it anyway!

Was there a 128KB expansion RAM, or just the 32KB one?
Which are yours?

It was my impression that they never actually existed. :-)

I absolutely love the WP2! while it doesn't have the great keyboard that
the T100 has, it's still really special. In fact you can easily expand it
for a low price. I can give you the chip information if you want. I'll just
have to look it up.
It's worth noting that I was able to pick up a transfer

Not that I know of. But the software reference describes the basics of
assembler programming for it.

So I have a WP2 on the way..."Untested as-is"
So, what is there to know about this thing? What are its common failure modes?
I have CamelFORTH and the old CIS SIG archive, is there any other software for
it?
