Yes the turning off cursor tracking does work in skype! just make sure you are
at the bottom of the html area before turning the cursor tracking off! and just
in case the command is [vo+shift+f3] and do not forget to turn it back on after
your done :] the same command!
and you will fin

customize your dash board keyboard shortcuts. the reader is available in this
post so hit cmd shift r when you open the link.

You cannot disable the web cam if you start a video call in skype but you can
choose to make a call wiht out video. the mics are pretty good for everything.
