Hi All,
I've not been following the lengthy Djay4 Mac discussion, but I note that Chris
and Orin asked about a trial download, and Gordon replied that since it was
distributed through the Mac App Store there was no trial download. A Google
search brought up the link to an Algoriddim web page l

I really think taking the discussion offlist defeats the purpose of the
list. I could benefit from the discussion as well, as could others. I'm
about to install VMWare fusion 5 soon and would like to hear about others
experience. Please keep this onlist.

Laurel,
I think it would be best to keep the discussion onlist. There are several
others who may benefit from the information. Honestly, It's not a bother to
have an extended discussion on this topic onlist. That's what the list is
for, to make a public record of the information we all need.
Been there done that plenty of times. Lucky! I won't go in to what equipment I
broadcast with as all of mine died like in the span of 24 hours. but DJay so
far has unit I get better equipment saved my but. The only thing missing like

some questions though,
I won't be using the DJay Mic system. We have a nest of 4 K500 broadcast
microphones around studio B and 6 around studio A which is also the master
control room. There's a spare channel on the mixer desk so all I'm going to do
is run a mini-jack from the computer into the desk. That way I hav
All I did was just install it then upgrade my test vm via its advanced settings
to work with vmware 5 and higher. that's pretty much it. I used the same
settings as I did with vmware 4 which was to disable all of the shortcuts.

Yes you can. but keep an eye on time as you talk or what ever, if you you do a
timed show. and if you change your playlist hit cmd shift r to refresh the djay
library. it will not stop tracks. do not how ever change your mic in mid
stream. It will stop playback. I found this out the hard way wh
It's quite simple really, you just queue your spot group contents as normal
tracks. You can, I believe,

I'll get with you off list as well if you want. I really love this . th sony
thing that's missing is the loging of tracks for billing purposes but I do that
by hand anyways. Yuck city but this program rocks no pun intended.

lol. You can either commit your playlist to memory or make a silence track so
you don't over talk your time. I've done both. I also will turn off auto mix at
the last track I know is playing which can be confusing as most of the time the
auto mix table is empty 2 tracks ahead of what I'm hearin

I'll try and record something and put it in our Podcast. But honestly if
you're interested in this application, it isn't really expensive at just £13.99
GBP. It's accessible. Actually Lynne made it even more accessible to me
because she put VoiceOver labels on all of the check boxes and butto
Yes a demo would be nice as I have lots and lots of music so would be
nice to kind of mix them like a DJ.

today so I will let you know. I may even be able to record a demo.

I won't hit issues like that. Now, Sarah, can you tell me what the methodology
is to insert pauses of a certain length into a playlist? Or is it just a case
of guessing?
