I have been on the applevis site and seen that the kindle is not accessible.
I was just hoping that things had changed since that was written.
I downloaded one from amazon and voice over doesn't read anything at all.
Thank you,
Trevor

I'm not commenting on your comment but rather the overall feel of sentiment

Many of the comments sound like a lot of comments from blind power users with a

Hi there
I know there has been some discussion about kobo on this list of late. I
would also be interested in knowing how to make this app accessible. I have
it on both the IPhone and the IPad and neither appears to work particularly
well.
Thanks for any help with this.

You could use mpeg stream clip to do this. I don't' know where to get it
anymore as the program is no longer being developed but perhaps
http://download.com will be able to help you there. It rips in to aiff format.
dunno if there is a way to rip in to anything else.
Good luck.

VOStarter is currently free so why not grab the app on your favourite iDevice

Hmm. Maybe the gremlins are around today again. I don't' like those pesky

Hope you get your problem solved.

Hi Jim,
When I click the button you mentioned, I am taken to a new page in the iTunes
Store, not directly to my account. It works pretty much the same as it always
has here, using iTunes 11.1. I suggest you try again, as this seems very
strange.
Yours,
Zack.

Hello:
Thanks for your response. I know what you are saying because I use to be able
to do that; however, where there is a "check for updates button", it now says
"24 updates available." When I click on that button, it simply brings me to my
account button. I tried de-authorizing and re-autho
vo right past the apps table and click check for updates. then the iTunes store
will open like normal. Now click download all free updates and it should work.
I did this yesterday wight eh new update and it worked like a charm.

In the latest update to iTunes, I see where I have app updates but I cannot,
for the life of me, find the update all button. Any thoughts?
Thanks all over the place gang.

Hi Jim,
No, there's a separate Mac version of the Amazing Slow Downer that is sold from
the developer's web site. He does have a trial version, which is how I know
that the app is accessible, but it costs $49.95 for the Mac version of the app.
The iOS app is universal, and I know that VoiceOv

Hi All,
For all the musicians out there, the Amazing Slow Downer iOS app is free today
only. Roni Music's ASD apps for the Mac and iOS let you listen to pieces that
you're trying to learn at variable speeds without altering the pitch. They're
very accessible, but expensive. This app normally
Hi,
How does one set up the Cobo app for accessibility? I'd like to start using it.
Thanks.

Hello Anne,
That's excellent. Decision made. The eReader isn't for me (obviously) but we
wanted to get something whereby if the book was purchased by my wife, I could
also access it.
Thank you.

Hello Dónal,
I've been using the Kobo app on my iPhone for almost three years now and once
set up correctly, it's thoroughly accessible.
Kobo books can also be read on the Mac with Adobe Digital Editions. I can't
remember the authorisation process on the Mac as it's a long time since I did
it.
Hi all,
Just wondering do any of you use the Kobo platform on Mac or IOS? One of their
e-readers might be coming into the house. the reason we've gone with it is on
principle really as we don't want to buy, and support, Kindle. Given that Kobo
uses EPUB, can Digital Editions on mac handle it
