Hello,
I can't test this with Word 97 documents created on a PC, but with those
created on a Mac, it works fine. Anything earlier, however, doesn't open with
Pages.
Cheers,

Every time my magic mouse batteries die, the mouse becomes disconnected. Is
there a quick way to get it to reconnect rather than go through the menus? I
find no problem when the keyboard dies.
Thanks

Looks the file was some corrupted when you or someone saved that file. In that

Locate the file in Finder and press enter on it. Then copy all the filename

As I understand it, the .docx file extension cannot be opened in Pages.
.Docx is the default extension for office 2010. So, in order to open a

other than the .docx format. I use the older .doc format which is supposed

Hello everyone,
Where do you get the idea that docx files cannot be opened with pages? I'm
currently working on just such a file in Pages, and do so regularly. I suspect
it all depends on the complexity of the file. I'm dealing with fairly
straightforward stuff and rarely have any problems
Hi Phil,
There's no problem opening .docx files in the current version of Pages. There
was a problem in the version of Pages that was current when Office first
adopted .docx, but that's quite a long time ago. So unless you are running an
old operating system and old version of iWorks, this

The extension is .doc. The other one is .docx.
Unfortunately I am not able to email these files as they contain sensitive

I'm sure you understand.
Suffice it to say I've tried changing the file extensions Of both documents
and nothing has worked so far.
Thanks

No I have never had this problem. In fact my mail even from way back in 2010
is working fine and dates are showing correctly. How odd. Can anyone else
advise on this like checking tome zones and the clock in general? Something
might be off there.
