I have decided to give iTunes another go but am still struggling with the
basics. I know others have struggled with this on this list.
I am trying to sort by Artist then album and play the Track of that album. I
can manage this fine on My iPhone but on a Computer whether Mac or PC this
is much
Command-right arrow on the Mac goes to the next track and command-left arrow
goes back to previous track. Spacebar pauses and resumes play.
Command-option-jright and left arrows acts as a fast forward and rewind.

Ok, I now think I can find and play the various softare instrument in GB,
however, if I check the record button with VO space bar, play something using
the qwerty keyboard, then check the play button with VO space bar, it appears
that nothing has been recorded, as nothing plays back.
OK, I have answered my own question to an extent. If I completely shut down
iTunes and restart it, then pressing Enter on the track in the file list
will now, unlike before, play it.
What I do not now know is why iTunes does not behave like this all the

I was playing the electric guitar using the qwerty keyboard, when I somehow
must have hit a key combination that change the pitch up an octave. Being able
to do this on the fly is a great option to have, but I don't know how I did it,
does anybody know what I did or needs to be done
Hi all, hopefully this reply will send and my email is now working. Phill, are
these directions for the previous, non mavericks, version of garage band? I
didn't have garage band before mavericks, and only was able to get it after
getting mavericks. I can't seem to get the instrument list
its the Z and X keys that change pitch up and down an octave.
