I've got a focus 14 blue braille display here and it's not oo bad. Just a
couple of questions really:
Firstly, i've made a command (C chord) to close a window, but it does nothing
except bring up a close window dialog. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yep. On the mac, you can use the voiceover keys with shift and m, which will
bring up the context menu so you can extract, open, compress etc.

fact that you can’t change what the rocker vars do from the display, you have
to do it by the screen readers. Anyway, I’ve been trying to connect it by USB,
but it won’t stay connected. For some reason it kee
vo f1 twice will open the application chooser menu, then you can hit right
arrow and hit go to whatever the app is. It’s a shame you can’t quit an app
from there, only force quit by cmd+opt+escape.

Interesting. i can see the memorystick when I go into computer, but I don’t see
it as an option in the startup disk thing in system preferences … I’ll try
holding down the letter u though and seeing if that works.

Thanks Isaac. when I restarted the computer as it said in the instructions
about making the bootable thing, it did nothing except go to the login screen
as normal, even though I was holding down the options key.

I’ve been trying for ages to make a bootable USB drive for ubuntu, but never
managed to get it to work. I followed the instructions exactly, right down to
holding down the options key while restarting the computer, but it never works.

Sounds like you have to go into the voiceover options and turn off the hints.

the mac? I know you can go into the contacts app or have it automatically

Try hitting enter after you type your password. If you want, there's normally a
checkbox somewhere around to allow you to sign in automatically.

Can't you just go into the information when pointing at the file in the finder
and unprotect it? Or do you have to open the file itself to do that? I can't
remember since I haven't done it for a few weeks, but i know I had to do it
when my Spanish teacher sent me stuff that was protected.

A friend of mine likes the mac as it's good for audio editing. However, he
only has the use of one hand really and wants to use voiceover since his vision
is not the best. The trouble he's having is the fact that he turns the
voiceover lock on but has to keep turning it off again when

buttons. It's pretty expensive as far as scanners go though, since it cost me

You should just be able to do voiceover shift m on the link you want to open in
a new window then go down to the appropriate option. Then you can use
voiceover f2 to go between the windows in safari or whatever browser you're
using on the mac.

I was bored and randomly looking for parcel tracking apps for the mac. I've
already got a nice one for the iPhone, but thought it might be useful to have
something on the computer as well. Anyway, the only one I found in the mac app
store was ITracking. I think that's what it's called

You can download files from ftp servers from what I've been told by just
connecing to a server in the finder. If you want to uload I use expand drive.
I only use the demo, so get messaes about having a demo and askng if I want to

Anyway, I've tied a number of times over the last couple of weeks to empty the
trash and a certain few files won't go. I've tried putting them ack and
deleting them again, but they still won't go from the trash.
