Me too! John said to turn quick nav on and off and this does seem to help.

Did you do a triple click with the home button to toggle it on or off? It’s a 3
finger double tap to toggle speech on and off and one more thing, have you
checked the volume? Sometimes for whatever reason the volume on mine gets
turned down without me touching that button.

I have an iPod Touch and am finding my device mutes itself. I can't get it back
on until I plug it into my computer. To my knowledge, iPod Touch does not have
a mute switch.
I get messages that something timed out when I have been reading a book and
done nothing else.

Sounds like voice over is off. Toggle command f5 again and then try the three
finger double tap. You could have turned vo off so when you do the 3 finger on
your track pad, you wouldn't hear anything if vo is off. Hope I explained
that correctly.

Yes it always says locked twice after the update, just something that needs a

Hi Don
I think #1 you have to do through your ISP. #2 Not sure. #3 Interact with
messages. Hold down the function, shift and vo keys and use left arrow to go to
top of messages and right arrow to go to bottom of messages. Stop interacting
and you will be at the one you chose to go to.

I think if you press the function key, control, option and left or right arrow

When this happens all you need to do is hit control tab.

I just purchased a Macbook Pro and will be going for one on one training
soon. In the meantime I am listening to the tutorial and learning some
commands.
Should I turn VO on permanently or do I only turn it on for the VO commands?
It seems having it on would be easier than holding down the
