In my case it works but then it will not work after a few days. The finder will
be fine, then it won't be and thats just hitting cmd shift c from the finder. I
don't have that many drives connected, and i am always in list view as i love
that view.

I’ve found that column view is problematic when I interact with folders with
lots of files. I just use the normal (non-VO) arrow keys for this and it works
well enough.

just not work. If I changed it to flow, list or icon. Did not have the problem.
Once I went back to column view, the issue occurred again.

The problem is that there is no one specific cause for busy messages. They can
be caused by large folders, particularly in column view. How large is your
documents folder, or how many files does it have? I am using an upgraded copy
of Mavrics and notice no consistent Finder busy messages.

How do you stop finder from going busy all the time? I am opening my document
folder and it goes to busy straight away. This is a brand new machine with a
fresh install. Only thing I have done is migrated my old account across. Using
