Hi Sarah,
Control-F8 is very useful! I wonder if I'll ever remember all of these
different commands! By the time I do, we'll no doubt have moved on to some
entirely different operating system! LOL!

Hi Gordon,
Yes, I did that. Unfortunately, though Dropbox was on the extras menu, I
couldn't get to it. Apparently it must be accessed by the use of Mouse
Buttons, and another list member gave me a spot on explanation of how to
accomplish this!

I actually use control f8 but that works, the problem is that dropbox changed
the way to get to said menu. You need to option click or if you have mouse keys
on option I.
Take care.

Use Vo+M twice. This will bring up the menu bar and one item in there is
DropBox.
Kind regards

I do have an Apple Mouse that came with my computer. I have a regular iMac
desktop. I just don't have any Mouse

Oh, I have seen that message rather a lot lately! I'm still battling to get

somewhat different than Windows.
In fact, I get the same result as yourself if I just click on dropbox. If I

Actually if you update your account info, it will update on dropbox

Take care.

Hi Zack,
Yes, I am running Mountain Lion, and I downloaded the latest version of Dropbox
since I hadn't used it in so long! Thanks for the tip on VO-MM. I sometimes
forget about that! Although I do use it in some other contexts.

Hi Desi,
Okay, a few questions first if I may. :) Are you running Mountain Lion on your
mac, and if so which version of DropBox do you have? It might behoove you to
download the newest one, I don’t know how compatible older 1.x releases are
with version 2.
That being said, whichever version you

Right, that's understandable, but how do you share folders and stuff if you
can't do it in the application because it has no windows? I understand the
website but that's a bit tedious to go through every time you want to share a
folder.

You need to access it in the extras menu. Option click the extras item named
dropbox and you should see the familiar menu.
Good luck.

I have had a Dropbox folder for quite some time. I have had it for at least

that "Dropbox has no windows." I think I might
Hi Melissa, when you'd put the files in your dropbox folder, did you have the
mac app running? If not, then the files wouldn't have synced, so you wouldn't
be able to see them on your phone.

no error messages, just that I put the files in dropbox where I usually put
them on my mac, but when I try to pull them up on my phone, they aren't
showing. I'm using the latest dropbox on my phone, but maybe dropbox company
has an updated app that I'm not aware of. I might even try to reboot

should see your files. they will be on the server. to download them to your
phone double tap, then hit add to favorites. then and only then will the thing
download to yourphone.
Take care.

Thanks.

Find the file you are wanting, them v o shift m, going down the context menu it
says dropbox submenu arrow right and there is a get link, that will copy to
clipboard and you can then paste it over.

Using dropbox on windows, I could drop a file in my public folder, right click,
go to dropbox subfolder and copy public link to the clipboard for others to be
able to download the file. My dropbox is installed correctly, It's in my
extra's menu, I can click on preferences etc but don't know how
