Hi Esther,
It's not actually a huge problem because the issue only arises under certain
very specific circumstances namely:
1. when the cmd-t shortcut is activated and successful compilation occurs;
2. the pDF associated with an open .TeX file is closed. When the .TeX file
itself is closed,
Hi All,
I'm not sure how many people on list use TeXShop, but I'm just wondering if any
of you have noticed that it is crashing a lot lately? This is particularly
evident when I use either cmd-t to typeset a document, or cmd-w to close the
PDF output from LaTeX.
cheers,
Dónal

Email the devs. I can't remember their email address at present but they are
known to fix bugs rather quickly. They did when I was having issues with lily
pond and texshop Lie the next minor update later about a few days later. That
was good as I was in the middle of coding huge class
Hi Sarah,
*smile* oh believe me the devs know me well. I've reported a few accessibility
things to them and they've been ore than helpful. I just wanted to see was
this widespread or just on my mac.

Hi James,
MacTeX 2013 is actually available now. As you probably know it's a large
download. I'll give it a whirl and let you know.
Believe it or not, this little bug only arises for me on successful
compilation. So if I have errors it's all fine and stays open. If I don't,

Yeah they know me well and they are wonderful. Well good luck on the crash
issue. I will not be using teashop for a while but I still have it on my system.
Take care.

I loath pages with a passion that's almost holy in its intensity, so I use
TeXShop all the time.

Ah. Does it do headers, footers, end notes and foot notes accessibly? The only
time i use texshop is for lilypond. And for that i have to put a line of code
in my lily pond files for it to recognize it.

Not surprised. Looks like there is nothing that will handle such things for
those of us working on papers and books that need it. I'm not one of them yet.
that's a million years down the rode, but I'm trying to prepare myself now.

The problem Sarah is not so much with LaTeX but with the PDFLaTeX. I won't go
into a longwinded explanation, but the way it deals with PDF isn't the most
accessible. I've not looked at this, but a very talented academic has and he
reckons to get it working properly would take millions of
Hi Dónal,
I use TeXShop, but I'm afraid that after I manage to get this set up and
configured so that it is working, I tend to not update this to the latest
version, and I'm running this under an older operating system. Hence this
response probably won't be of much help to you. My only
