I'm definitely not going to talk about Windows. But I'll tell you this; Fusion
4.01 is just a dream machine! It's fast, ass-kickingly fast! It's accessible,
more so than v3 in some ways.

Parallels is much faster when it comes to 3D graphics and gaming. Parallels
will probably always be faster as it does not do virtualisation in the same way

Remember that the configuration of Windows apps is off topic. But you're fine
with the VM configuration itself since that is Mac.
We have 8GB memory and we allocate 4GB to Windows 7 64-bit. That is about
right, since 64-bit requires more RAM than the standard 32-bit.

Copy and paste is working for me now in VM Fusion 3. I was getting my
fingers tangled and using windows commands on my Mac! So much to keep track of
and I have muscle memory after more then 25 years of PC work!
But, I can now use the copy command on either OS move

We're using v4 without issues. yes, sometimes you have to remember the key
differences but after a while you'll find it becomes second nature.
Actually I find Windows is now the alien world to me. I'm much more
comfortable using OS X than Windows and I use Windows only as a last resor

I disagree with you here I've used it for ages and allocated 2GB when we've
had only 4GB in the machine. It worked fine.

Just for the record that's not how you're supposed to upgrade. I know it
worked; but you're not supposed to simply copy files.
There's an icon in the disk image which doe the upgrade properly because it has
to update some preference files.
