I am reading an e-mail with a link, when I come to the link vo says a shade
of royal blue on and it then reads the link. I have tried to alter the
verbosity from high, through medium and low but even on low vo still says
this about a shade of royal blue, it also seems to be reading out font
It's the text atributes. I think it's in the text tab of the verbosity pane.

Yes, you can change this behavior in the text tab, but you can also use vo-v to
do it quicker.

It hasn’t made any difference when I change to minimum, it is still reading out
everything from type face to colour etc etc.
