You used to be able to buy books directly from the app, but that changed a
while ago, so now you have to buy them from the website.

Hello Ian,
I've just looked at the Kobo settings and the heading you need to find is "Page
transition style". Below this are several options and the one to select is
Scrolling.

As Ann described, double tapping in the middle of a page will bring up an icon
gear button that you can double tap. The Kobo settings menu should let you
access a page settings page where you can specify your reading preferences.

with page turning. Managed to get the table of contence up though and have the
book set at chapter 1.
