It's not the best way of doing this job, but with Migration assistant, you can
actually check boxes for which types of files you want to move. But what I
would suggest you do is, if possible, just move/copy the files on block to an
external disk then copy them back over that way. If
I ended up more or less doing that Gordon, except I used a NAS. Did the job I
was writing to the list only in case there was a method I didn't know of.

Unfortunately the Air doesn't have a firewire port. You're right though Target
mode would be an option if they did have those ports.

Ah cool. I'm remembering the manuals I've read. Hmm. I wonder if there is a way
to do it via air drop or Bonjour. I've never used either but good luck.
