Hey thanks for all those binary builds--they probably saved me a heap
of time today. The speed just doesn't compare it's so much faster

instead, it surprised me by not doing a force

I was trying to use Emacs 23.2 in terminal using Macport. After setting up
Macport and installing emacs:
sudo port install emacs
I found that launching emacs from the terminal did not load my .emacs
config file, which using Emacs.app
