I'm stuck on an August-2002 G4 eMac, running Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger.
I noticed that Apple's GCC 4.2, which I think is used on all post-
Tiger systems[1], is an option. Is it worth downloading; can I do
anything with it? I saw a bug #16745 describing you guys never

Hi:
I've been trying to install x264transcode on my MacBook Pro (early 2011, core
i7) under Mac OS X 10.6.8 with XCode 3.2.6. It failed while installing the
dependency mkvtoolnix complaining that some bits of boost weren't declared. So

In the future, please use the Macports-Users mailing list since I don't have
much free time.
I just today added a comment to ticket 30882 [1]. I suggest uninstalling
everything and re-building from scratch. That was the only reliable way to fix
it.
Also, py27-matplotlib will use python 2.7.
I just noticed that you replied to me only. Please include the list since I
don't have much free time.
I would suggest cleaning liblastfm (to be safe) and then rebuilding amarok.

Ok, so I agree Xcode is installed and working. The log shows the error is:

This is because although the test in question is using -I/opt/local/include to

Hello,
Most of the postings I see are about problems with MacPorts, so I
decided to make a post to let everyone know that after more than a
month of not upgrading, I was able to upgrade all the outdated without

The new version of MacPorts installed corrected and I have been able to

I would suggest you first move /opt/local out of the way; then after you have
the current MacPorts installed and previous functionality restored you can
delete the old dir.
To move old prefix out of the way.

Hi
I'm brand new to MAC but has been using Linux for years.
