Somehow, I zorched my MacPorts install today. It started out complaining about not having the right Xcode install (even though I did). After mucking about with reinstalling Xcode, the command line utilities, editing macports.conf, etc, it got to the point where just running the port command, even "

I am running OS X 10.5.2 on an iMacG5 pentium machine. I just downloaded MacPorts-1.6.0.pkg and tried to install it several times, but it always hangs up with the progress indicator about 3/4 of the way through, and never finishes. I opened the /opt folder and there were a few items in it. "p
