Hi May!
I've used Abbey FineReader on the mac with some success. I've never gotten it

I had some problems getting the software to run but I know of

The ipad is an ipod on roids. From what was presented today it appears in
looks and feel to be Apple's answer to net books with other features thrown
in for good measure.

I have E Mailed Apple Accessibility to ask them the current state of play

Hello list members.
Just thought I'd send a quick message to tell you all that the ipad does indeed
have VoiceOver.
You can verify this by going to the tech specs link when you click on any of
the ipad links and going to a level 3 heading called accessibility.
Thanks.

Perhaps you can get control text using your little test program and, if so, we
can probably extract location and force a mouse click?
You could run the program using gdb in emacs and dump the data in a nice, easy
way to both dissect and save.

It's a double edged sword. In the Android world there has been a bunch
of issues with junky buggy software. There is no gatekeeper so you get
all the wheat and the chaff. For a substantial part of the population
this works well and there are only a few sheep that want out of the pen.

On the unix side you can dump a file to the terminal with the more

I think you hit the nail on the head really, you can't see the point.
As we told you before, the main attraction is going to be the larger
