Windows machine is windows vista or windows 7. Then go into start menu, all programs, accessories then scroll down till you find command prompt. Right click on the command prompt option, and then from the menu, select run as administrator. Then try running the command chkdsk /f on your problem

The Computer name is independent from the administrator User Name. The computer name really only applies to what the machine will be known as on a network. The home folder is usually named by default as the user name (If I'm wrong on this I stand corrected). But yeah the computer name only

Hi Geoff, DMG viles are disk image files. As Sarah said, you copy the appropriate .app file out of the .dmg file and paste into your applications folder. Cut is considered destructive and mac OS won't let you do it to files. This is one of the few irritating things about the mac operating
