Hi Tim, many thanks for your detailed email. I have a couple of questions I'd
like to clear up.
1. You say the On My Mac section could you explain what this is?
2. I have gone into my contacts app that is placed on my doc, and have
navigated to name table and have highlighted them all with CMD
I have also experienced this but I am not on Mavericks yet. I think it
came with the most recent version of Safari regardless of OS
version. The main place where I experienced this was on the safeway
shopping site and I have to login to demo this. thus, I would have a

Hi all.
I had a question.
Does anyone know if Ladiocast or Cog are ready for Mavriks?
Thank you.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

When I press VO A the document starts reading from the beginning again.
Thanks.

Hi all,
Most of the time, dictation on the Mac is amazing. Twice now, though, I have
had the Mac lock up on me when I hit the key to stop dictating. It does not
recover, and my only option is a hard shutdown. Does anyone know what might be
happening, and if there is a better way to recover from

Hi,
1. The On My Mac may have been removed in Mavericks as I can’t locate it
anymore either. Or, it could just be not there in my situation since I have no
contacts stored locally. The best thing is to check in the Groups Table, in
the All iCloud section to make sure all your contacts are
Hi,
There was an update to Ladiocast right after Mavericks came out. I
haven't tried it yet though but it should work.
Hope this helps,

The only other view that seems usable is List View. I tried it today, though,
when I was copying 36 files from one folder to another. Despite VO telling me I
was two levels deep into a folder, I ended up pasting those files into the
top-level folder and had to go erase them all from there, then

Where in the folder structure do you go in list view to copy and paste? I
understand that you have to be inside a folder. I’m actually getting used to
list view now, and the arrow keys work the same way as in column view.
Teresa
Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply
don't forget that pasting is different in list view than in column view. In
column view, you can just highlight the folder you want to paste into and hit
command v. In list view, you have to first open the folder. A good way to make
sure you're on the right destination folder is to check what
I haven't worked that out, but I do not find arrow navigation to work as well.
Sometimes folders refuse to open or close entirely, and even if a folder does
close, I have to press the left arrow two or three times to get that to happen.
Ialso don't like how VO will keep reading, and worse,
That's the thing, I did that. I wanted to paste into
/applications/audacity/plugins, so I opened the plugins folder and pasted. My
files ended up in /applications, mixed in with all my .app files.

Hi!
OK just in case did you open the folder with Command+O or with the arrows?
If with arrows you might find the items pasted like it did for you!
But with Command+O that should open that folder and be the only place you can
paste into!

Wow! You too? The thing is I can't even get my Type2phone thing to work at all.
I can do as much as go home and lock my phone with it, and that's it, and I had
this problem with the old OS already too for awhile; it worked great at first,
but then it wouldn't work, and now mavericks for sure
Hello Alex,
In List view, the right arrow expands the folder you’re on which is confusing.
To open the folder you should use either Cmd-Down Arrow or Cmd-o. To go up a
level, press Cmd-Up Arrow.
You can collapse all the expanded folders in your window by pressing Left Arrow
repeatedly.
I
Oh, that’s a great tip. I also just discovered that command-left-bracket will
take you back to your previous folder view, with the folder closed.
Teresa
Slow down; you'll get there faster.

There are two options. Command-up arrow will move you to the top of a text
area, such as an email or file you are writing, and is not a Voiceover command.
Function-vo-shift-left, if memory serves, is the top of window Voiceover
command and works anywhere. That latter one may move you out of a
