How does spell check work on the Mac? In IOS, you have to read through the
document, looking for misspelled words, and bring up the suggestion list one
misspelled word at a time. I find this rather cumbersome. Is it better on
the Mac? With Windows, In Word or Outlook, I can press

While I do not use the spell checker, I can tel you that yes this
functionality is offered and is integrated into Mac Os X unlike Windows
where you have to use programs that include a spell checker. Not so with
Mac Os X.

If I were doing it, I would max out the RAM at 16 Gb. The cost of that RAM is
relatively inexpensive and RAM is one thing you will notice if you run a lot of
apps. The Apple specs say they only support 8G because at the time of the

The smart lists do not at all require to drag and drop. you can create a
smart list from a search or you can define a category to be a smart list. For
example if you wanted a cookie smart list to always display all your cookies
then you'd just create a smart list named cookies and type

Well let's say that you've created a list called list for mom.
then you could search the recipes using the various fruit names in the
ingredient field. After you created the basic list you could add keywords like
list for mom. Then in the list you can have the list look for the word list

friendly way to do the same on the Mac, in Pages perhaps? A lack of that
ability would be a real show stopper in my attempts to use Pages for my

The simple answer is yes you can make and print envelopes in Pages. It used to
be more difficult, but I like the new Pages for this. Ann is our expert on this
list for Pages.

It turns out that one of my issues with Prismo was that it wasn't recognizing
my scanner due to a bad installation.
I went in and cleaned out the scanners part of Printers and Scanners under
System Preferences, reinstalled the scanner and Voila!
Prismo is a bit clunky imho but it does work.
I used the Classic Envelope template in Pages to print out a standard #10
envelope. The first four characters of each return address line were lost in
what appears to be a half inch margin at the left side of the envelope. I
