Hi Patricia, Ok, I've got my disc and after a few hours of struggling, I've partitioned it into two partitions successfully. I plugged my new dis into a usb port. It showed on my desktop. I opened disc utilities and selected the disc in the table of all available discs. I then chose to

Pablo, I saved Cheryl's message. I thought I had been doing what she suggested, but without her results. There has since been another update iTunes on the Mac, at least one. I am going to take her message and go step-by-step and see if I was doing something wrong. I just haven't been back on

Switching between VoiceOver and NVDA

Language switching, what makes that happen?

There’s a pane in System Preferences called Startup Disk where you can choose which disk your Mac boots from. You can find it through Spotlight Search as well (do a COMMAND+SPACE, enter “startup”, and you should be taken right to the result you want). You will then be in an accessible dialog

Well, that's what I had to start with. Language set to default, which is Alex. The German voice was in the rotor. I figured if it wasn't in the rotor it wouldn't work. So, with the voice set to default, Alex talking. And the German was spoken by Alex. So maybe some flag has to be sent in the

Ok, I understand you have to restart and then decide which OS you want, but can I wait until NVDA or VoiceOver comes up, or is it just a matter of going through the motion with the keyboard commands that we know? Speaking of the keyboard command, what is it again please? Thanks, Sharon H.

If you have Voiceover enabled to start speaking at login, that is what will happen. Same with NVDA, if its set to start when you boot into Windows, it will start speaking at startup. When using Bootcamp, the two OSs do not interact. Its either OS X or its Windows. From E.T.'s

Back in the day there were lots of these little utilities but now that you have full access to unix in the terminal it's not really worth a developer's time to recreate a GUI version of a text command. I'm sure they are out there but most of the stuff I found when googling around had step #1
