spacing from single to double, the popup menu is dimmed. Why is this and how

The hot spots have to be predictable to voiceover. In other words, they must be
at the same place, at the same time, under all circumstances. I don't think

Actually, another trick to viewing messages in the preview pane is to
just press the tab key when you are interacting with the messages
table. So when you're on a message of interest, just press tab to view
it, then when you are done, press shift tab. You will be back in your
messages
