Also me too, on my 27in iMac and my Mini and Air, I get no issues, both Voice
Over starting without issue and also with no mention of additional windows.
I previously had Lion on all three machines and have only performed a straight
upgrade, not a clean install.

there ar certain Apps which are not available on iPhone / iPod Touch, yet, that

have the diagnostics and reporting side of things let them know if your Mac or

I use Carbonite on my Mac, have done since owning a Mac, circa October 2010. I
have it on all three of my Mac's.
The icon for it at the top of the screen near to the clock is, as others have
said, inaccessible.
However, it is easily accessed through the System Preferences menus. Given you

Does anyone know, can an Apple TV pull content from a NAS on a local network?
Either by providing the Apple TV in some manner the IP address, folder share
and user credentials of the share so that it can scan the folder, or, by

Personally, if you do not need the screen size, the 11in Air is more than fine.
I use a 27in iMac fully specced up 2012 model, and an 11in Air 2012 model,
upped the processor but not the RAM.
Voice OVer works just fine on both and I'm very happy with both configurations.

Photo Stream is only used for up to one months pictures and at that, only 1000
as a maximum.
So Chris would only be able to sync the last 31 days worth of taken photos, and

Photo Stream on the Mac can be found by launching either iPhoto or Aperture,
which ever you use.
Within its preferences you can enable Photo Stream.
Personally I use iPhoto, but have Aperture in case we need to adjust a photo in
a far more professional manner.

There is a similar issue with the UK British male voice, it now sounds a little
wobbly, that's the best way I can explain it, even now the high quality voice
is down the sound is less solid and refined than it used to be.

Preferences and sound effects are set to 100%, yet the audible volume of the
aeroplane taking off is notably quieter

I used to be able to use the Command O command to open events in the Calendar,
be that to edit them, add to them etc, and also the Command Delete to delete
them etc.
Now though none of this is working since my upgrade to Mavericks, has anyone
got any specific on how to use Calendar now
