As subject states. Looking for a better player than Cog. I'm looking for
something which has more options such as rewind/forward system wide
hotkeys, plugin support etc. Suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

and yes, there are plugins you can get, to the best of my knowledge, and
yes, there are global hotkeys, at least the last I checked.

Again, I totally second this! I'm not exactly a fan of it on the Windows
side, however, on the mac, it is beautiful!

Well yeah, for playing audio at least. Never liked the idea of iTunes adding
audio to its library before you have a chance to listen. I mean, what if you
don't want that audio in its library? But hey that's Apple and iTunes for you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do however want to clarify that VLC can do
this as well, so it's really a user preference.
