Hi again.
Yes dvdremaster costs a little. I think it was 60 dollars or something
like that.
It really works great for me.
I have also tried with handbreak, it made one track of the whole DVd,
and it was awfull slow, and to me it was not easy to use, and you
still have to decrypt
Best wishes
No handbreak is very wasy to use I did not have to decript anything when I did
it. It took about 20 minutes or so to extract and switch took about 10.

Hi.
I have found a solution that works great.
I use ripit to decrypt the DVD's, maybe you can also use fair mount,
you will find fairmount together with dvdremaster as I describe later.
Ripit can be purchased from:

Then I use DVDremaster to make the wav
Hi. What I've been doing was to use mac the ripper to get the vob files from
the dvd, and then using mpeg stream clip to extract the audio.
However I'm definitely going to take a look at Annie's suggestion. Especially
since I have a purchased copy of rip it from the recent mac heist bundle.
why not just use handbeak and switch? that solution takes about 45 minutes for
each dvd and I'm in no rush. lol.

hello; that's what i do accept for using max instead of switch but
doesn't it aggrivate you that with all the presets they have developed
for handbreak they still haven't come out with one to strip just the
audio. anyone have any ideas how we can get them to work on that if
at all?
Would it help if I did a short podcast on it or would it be a stupid idea? Just
asking. I could do a podcast on it somewhat.
I've never heard of max but switch works fine for now. lol.
Take care all.

Hey Sarah,
I think a podcast would be a great idea. I'm not even sure what Hand Break and
Switch are.

Part of the trick is whether the DVD has been encrypted or not. Most
commercial DVDs, such as movies, seem to have this as part of their DRM.
Tools like RipIt at least get the data off the DVD and onto your hard
drive. I haven't played with ripping out just the audio track from there
but I
actually handbreak just splits the thing as far as I can tell. It does not rop
audio from a dv d.
Take care.

There was one that darcy mentioned but I lost all of my mail messages in a
