That's interesting about the Adobe plugin. I guess I never installed it or something because I was able to read those PDF manuals with no problem in preview. I also appreciate the other comments about Shift-VO-M not working well in Safari; wasn't aware of that being a problem. I'll have to keep

Hi, If you go into /Library/Internet PlugIns and Trash the Adobe PDF Preview PlugIn, Safari should assume to use the Preview app instead which normally is usable within Safari. That doesn't fix the initial problem but does eliminate the inaccessible Adobe problem. Later... Tim Kilburn Fort M

Maybe I missed it but I was able to navigate to the English link just fine but hitting enter popped a new page and loaded the PDF which triggers the inaccessible Adobe PDF plugin. So, I tried command+enter and option+enter but both just popped a new window with the same inaccessible PDF plugin.

Hello Steve, I just had a look at that page and found that VO-Shift-m on one of the language links gave me useless stuff like Reload page, whereas bringing the mouse and doing Control-Click using the trackpad gave me the full contextual menu for a link. I find that VO-Shift-m rarely works in S

Thanks for that additional information that actually worked for these goofy links. My first usual response is to use the context menu but this is a good alternative. I'll bet I would still have to use Option+Return after pasting into the address box. No real problem, at least there is a way t

Hi Esther, It didn't quite work for me as you described I found that I had to do Option+Return in order to get the link to download. I also had to do the Command+L step from within the PDF view; I was originally trying to do it by closing that PDF view first but that put the original page URL

Hello Steve, To get the actual URL for a link, navigate to the link and press VO-Shift-u. You can then copy that URL by pressing VO-Shift-c which copies the last spoken phrase to the clipboard. Cheers, Anne On 31 May 2012, at 22:49, Steve Holmes wrote: > That's one thing I miss from the Wind

Hi Steven, I've found some web pages, viewed with Safari, where you have to first interact with the link before getting the options to download, etc. with VO-Shift-M. (One example is the Blind Cool Tech web site.) And I've found some other sites that are badly coded so that focus doesn't bring y

I have two somewhat related questions here. 1. I've noticed that some links identified by VO as normal links, will not yield the typical context menu when I press Shift-VO-m; I just get the menu with 5 items and are all full page related. But other links on the same page do work properly and will
