Well, in mavericks this has changed. The drag and drop feature, for mailboxes,
at least for me hasn’t worked since I upgraded. What has worked, is the mouse
down and up command. So mouse down on the mailbox you want to add to

I am in standard view though, and turned on full screen mode with command-ctrl

I quite frequently use this and have always had success. Instead of using
VO-Period to drop, however, try using VO-shift-period or VO-shift-comma while
interacting with the Favourites Bar and while VO is focussed on one of your
