it daily, often multiple times a day. The most common way that I started though

Yesterday, I attempted, without success, to set a custom countdown time via
the timer app, on my Apple Watch running the latest OS.
Try as I may, I could not activate the Start button as it remained, dimmed.
Steps to reproduce:
