Oh, I hadn't thought about Handoff, I so rarely use it. Thank you, Tim, that's
a great suggestion.

Hi Donna,
"First" episode was what I was going to suggest. Alternatively, you could
start the podcast on your iPhone, then move your iPhone so that it is inches
away from the HomePd so that the podcast would handoff to the HomePod. From
then on, you should be good as it should play them in or
Hi Karen,
I just tried. When you ask her how many episodes you have in a certain podcast,
she just says, "Sorry, I can't search your podcasts." Good thought, though, it
was definitely worth a try.

Hey Donna,
Granted i have little personal experience commanding inanimate objects to do
my desires...but how about walking Siri through the process with an
extra step?
Can you ask her how many episodes you have from this podcast, then ask her
to start from the beginning?

Got it! With a little help from Google. Turns out saying episode 1 doesn't
work, but saying first episode does. Go figure.

Lol. Ok. There has to be a specific syntax that can work. I would experiment

Good suggestion. Unfortunately, when you say "Play Previous Episode" she jumps
to a different podcast altogether, which I absolutely don't get.

I have. If I say play episode 1 of podcast X, she seems to think the podcast is
called episode 1. (Nope, I'm not kidding.) :)

Hi Donna,
I can’t try this as we don’t have the home pod in NZ, but what if you ask Siri
to play the podcast and wait until it plays the current episode. Then while it
is playing the podcast ask Siri to play the previous episode? If that works
just repeat until it gets to the first one.

I haven’t tried this at the moment, but have you attempted variations of
what you want SIRI to do? Maybe, “play episode 1 of the blah blah blah podcast”
or something like that. I’ve discovered with SIRI that sometimes, a slight
change of the order of words or how you ask something seems to m
Hi all,
A friend recommended a podcast, and I want to listen to it while I work out.
Unfortunately, even though I've never listened to it before, when I say "Hey
Siri, play Podcast X" she plays the current episode, rather than starting with
the first one. If I say "Hey Siri, play podcast X, Epi
