Hi Steve. You don't have to have the voices change pitch or say cap. The way I
got it set since I'm currently using Cereproc Sarah, (which has become my
favorite female voice because she's the only female voice that takes breaths,)
since she can't do pitch changes, I have VO beep when it encount
Wow, definitely a preference thing. I hated the pitch thing. I have caps and
deleting characters to nothing. When I go through letter by letter, vo says
capitol before the cap letter.
I think another option is to hear a noise.

I wouldn't want to turn off pitch changes because then you wouldn't be
able to identify capital letters. No way in hell do I want to hear
"Capital" before every uppercase letter! I've run into that with some
other systems and I hate it! I'd much rather have a pitch change.

No, but you can adjust the pitch level. I'm fairly sure you can only switch
pitch change off for capital letters. Otherwise, you'll have to use the other
voice settings to adjust the voices' number values.

In this case, you would go to the VO utility with VO-f8 and choose the speech
category. Then you choose the voices tab. In that dialog is a button labeled
"additional voice options". Check those voices and see what their values are.

can you give us a demo of the voice?
That way we might be able to help.

Ah, that is the disgustingly pitchshifted Samantha. Just record her and change
the pitch with whatever audio editor you use and you'll at some point come to
the sound of that cool voice of yours, unless for're using some other voice for
text fields, but I'm pretty sure its Samantha just pitched
