Hi, I believe that it is mostly a security and convenience thing. Apple has been gradually moving towards handling most account details within the Internet Accounts pane of System Preferences. That’s the “convenience” part of things. Security is much more complicated and the use of security

Jonathan, thanks for the info. What I can’t understand is how it changed in the last 2 weeks? Yes I can work around by deleting the account and subsequently adding the account again if I need to update a setting, but this is a long way around a change of password for each account for example. R
