Hello Veronica,
The fields that appear in the messages table are controlled by what you have
selected in the View menu. You can check or uncheck whatever you like.

I confirmed when interacting with the table of messages in Mail clasic view I
could only get the arrow keys to read the "Status" column. I believe even when
VO-LEft to move over to the Subject tI was getting these symptoms. This is not
the way VO worked with SNow Leopard. If you do one stop int
Jonathan,
VO says messages table, and I just use arrow keys to move up and down the list.
I hear everything when I just tab into the table. Hitting left and right arrows
together turn Quick nave on and then off. Here's an interesting additional
discovery. If I have two messages in a mailbox, all
OK. Are you interacting with the message list?
Are you using arrow keys or arrow kes with VO?
Is the Subject in the Message list, but you are only hearing the from column?
What happens when you hit left and right arrows at the same time twice? What
does VO say to you?

Quick nav is definitely off. Everything read just fine until I created a bunch
of new mailboxes. When I select a new mailbox, and go back to the messages
table, all fields are read for the first message, but not for any of the rest
of the messages. I can VO-right arrow to the rest of the fields,
SOunds like you have quick nav on. Try turning it off and see if that is what
you want.
Best wishes,
Jonathan

I've only had limitted exposure to classic view in Mail but from what
I remember, the subject, author, and date and whatever were in
separate cells of the message list table so while interacting with the
message table, try arrowing side to side in the table to see if you

P.S. I realized that when I choose the mailbox to explore in the mailboxes
table, then tab to the messages table, for the first message, it will read
subject and who it was from. But when I down arrow to the next message, all I
hear is image, unread.
Sorry about leaving out this detail. Thanks.
Hi everyone!
In mail, using Lion, classic view, I just created a bunch of new mailboxes and
then added rules which send all my list messages to the appropriate mailboxes.
That was easy and works like a charm. However, just one snag. I navigate with
up and down arrow in the mailboxes table till I
