Hello Mary, OK, I understand now. What you need is GhostReader if what you want to do is just read a document. With GhostReader, you can skip any number of sentences or paragraphs and GhostReader will pick up immediately. I use this application for reading the original version of the document

Totally agree, all the legacy voices should go (am sure they could be downloaded if anyone really wanted them) as they are useless. Apple already have a license for international voices as they use them on the iPhone. Not sure if they are suitable for the Mac, but hopefully this will be consid
