This is all expected behaviour if the devices have any other means of reaching
the Internet. This probably includes the case where you’ve changed network
SSID while the old network is still running. If you change the SSID and then
make sure everything is disconnected from any network first,

my Macbook Air as well. I keep everything updated to the latest OS.

more features for all of one's connected devices. Also, Apple has been
